อดีตสมาร์ทโฟนเมื่อสองปีก่อน Xiaomi Mi 5 ยังคงได้รับการดูแลอย่างต่อเนื่อง ล่าสุดได้รับอัพเดทสู่ MIUI 10 ซึ่งแค่อัพเดทคงไม่ตื่นเต้นเท่าไหร่แต่ได้เวอร์ชั่นเสถียรเสียด้วยนี่สิ

อัพเดทดังกล่าวสำหรับ Mi 5 สามารถทำได้ผ่านช่องทาง OTA โดยกดจากตัวเครื่องได้เลยซึ่งจะกลายเป็น build number V10.0.1.0.OAAMIFH โดยไฟล์อัพเดทดังกล่าวมีขนาด 549MB ซึ่งได้ฟีเจอร์หลักๆ ของ MIUI 10 ไปค่อนข้างเยอะทีเดียวทั้ง New UI, full-screen-centric design, Natural Sound System, ปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพกล้องรวมถึงใส่ Portrait Mode ให้ด้วยแม้เครื่องจะมีเลนส์ตัวเดียวและยังมีการปรับหน้าตาแอปพลิเคชั่นของระบบอีก โดย Changelog ทั้งหมดมีดังนี้
